| Wanganui police promise extra officers will be patrolling the city's streets for as long as it takes to quell gang tensions. There were two violent clashes between the Mongrel Mob and Hell's Angels yesterday. Two gang members were hospitalised. One has facial injuries and the other has head wounds. Cars were rammed, windscreens smashed and there are unconfirmed reports that shots were fired. Acting Area Police Commander, Duncan MacLeod, said Wanganui has a history of gang conflict, but it will not be tolerated and police will be working hard to make the streets safe again. | A SENIOR member of the Rebels motorcycle gang had a NSW police uniform and a cache of dangerous weapons, including a loaded semi-automatic pistol, stored at his western Sydney home when police conducted a search, a court has heard. Ian David Mamo, 36, faces nine charges, including numerous firearms offences, after allegedly threatening "extreme personal violence" against a police informant. Police Prosecutor Melissa Bayllis said the biker was arrested yesterday in Penrith after detectives had raided his Castlereagh house following information from the informant and telephone intercepts. | Pair accused of stealing construction tools worth $ 60,000 CALGARY SUN Affiliates of a motorcycle club with ties to the Hells Angels were arrested after police linked them to what cops say is more than $60,000 worth of stolen tools. The tools, which police say were taken from home construction sites, were discovered Wednesday on a southeast acreage following a three-month investigation by cops. Det. | The Enquirer Battle Creek police have asked for assistance in their search for a convicted fugitive who disappeared a week ago. Jason Stephenson, 33, failed to appear in Calhoun County Circuit Court last Friday when a jury convicted him of six counts, including assault with intent to murder and weapons charges. Stephenson was on trial for an Oct. 5, 2003, shooting that injured one man outside the Iron Coffin Motorcycle Club at 15 Gilbert St. A bench warrant was issued for Stephenson's arrest, and Battle Creek police, who investigated the case, said they are seeking information on his whereabouts.
