One of the men charged in a 2017 Ottawa biker brawl was found guilty last week.

Mark Korn, 53, Harwood Heights, was found guilty Friday of mob action and unlawful use of a weapon. Korn opted to have Circuit Judge Cynthia Raccuglia decide his case instead of a jury. Korn, who is to be sentenced Friday, March 22, is free on $500 cash bond.

Korn was involved in a fight Aug. 20, 2017, outside JJ's Pub in Ottawa between the Outlaws and Hells Angels. Korn is treasurer of the Illinois Outlaws, according to court testimony, and was one of two men wearing suits during the melee, which led to multiple arrests. Korn was carrying a hammer wrapped in plastic, but testified he was not there to fight.

Korn was represented by Naperville lawyer Kip Owen.

Prosecutors also moved recently to revoke the probation given another man caught up in the brawl.

Shawn P. Thompson, 40, Ottawa, was sentenced in May 2018 to probation for grabbing a police officer's right arm and pulling him several feet. Prosecutors want probation revoked because they said Thompson was found driving with a suspended license Nov. 23 and Dec. 3, both times in Ottawa.

Thompson, who is out of custody, has a hearing Thursday, Feb. 21.
