The Comanchero bikie who acted on a “bash on sight” edict issued by his club against the Rebels is set to be charged with attempted murder over the brazen shooting of a bikie rival in Calista last year.

Nathan Greenway was yesterday jailed for nine months over his part in a brutal brawl between Comanchero and Rebels outside Crown Perth in September.

During that hearing, it was revealed Greenway is also set to be charged over the shooting of a Rebels associate in his 50s, who was left with serious wounds after he was gunned down in a drive-by shooting on a suburban street just weeks later.

As The West Australian revealed at the time, the 53-year-old was riding home from a meeting when an unmarked SUV with a blue flashing light signalled for him to pull over.

But instead of officers stepping out to question him, he instead found himself staring down the barrel of a gun. He was then shot in the stomach and arm.

Detectives are set to allege that Greenway was one of those involved.

In court, Greenway admitted wielding a firearm in anger in the weeks before — pointing a revolver at the manager of the Galaxy Lounge, after he was challenged over a smashed TV in an upstairs rooms of the nightspot.

Police prosecutors told the court Greenway was one of the Comanchero members who bumped into a group of Rebels at the casino in the early hours — amid already high tensions between the two bikie gangs.

Magistrate Thomas Hall heard those tensions precipitated “assaults, arson and bashings” — and led to another one on this night.

After agreeing to take their issues outside, Greenway was knocked down and out, and then stomped on.

In the words of his lawyer Terry Dobson, he got “the living suitcase kicked out of him”.

Three weeks later, on another night out, it was the Galaxy Lounge boss who was in the line of fire after a stoush over $1000 damage to the TV.

“We don’t want to live in a society like America where people are pulling guns out when they are upset,” Magistrate Hall said.

Greenway's best mate and Comanchero sergeant at arms David Kinneen was yesterday also jailed over a bizarre brawl with Greenway in the heart of Northbridge in November that also involved a firearm.

The court heard the two men got into a vicious brawl in the early hours, with Kinneen waving a fake gun. Concerned onlookers called police, who arrested the pair.

But since then, Mr Dobson said, the pair had shared a cell.

Kinneen was also jailed for nine months for producing the gun.
